Benefits of Lemons - Health Tips.

I wanted to talk about the benefits of Lemons and how it can help with an array of things. I suppose it is something close to my heart as I use Lemon in my diet everyday. It is an effective treatment if you suffer from nausea and vomiting, even if you are pregnant. Lemon is a rich source of vitamin C and antioxidants. Lemon and can help you to lose weight and improves the condition of your skin. I know it has certainly improved the condition of my skin. Feeling smoother and looks a lot clearer too. Lemon helps to reduce pain associated with inflammation and headaches. If your anything like me and want to try remedies, which are proven to work then you will try this one. Drinking warm Lemon water can increase feelings of fullness and boost metabolism slightly, which can help with weight loss.

Lemon water is simply the juice of lemons mixed with water, you can even add a slice of Lemon to your drink and serve it hot or cold. The amount of lemon juice in lemon water depends on the person’s preference. You may drink it cold or hot, either way it is so refreshing. People also choose to add lemon rind, mint leaf or turmeric or other ingredients.

Lemon water has become a popular morning beverage, using it as a refreshing pick-me-up, due to claims that it can boost energy levels. My colleagues at work also love this drink first thing in the mornings. I must admit, it gives me energy and it is a lovely drink. In my opinion, it can sometimes work better than a cup of tea.


Lemon water is safe to drink, However the acid in lemons can damage tooth enamel over time, making your teeth more prone to cavities. Basically, you need to limit the amount of Lemon water you consume. Suggestion, avoid brushing your teeth straight after drinking lemon water.

Water is an effective diuretic, which is a substance that encourages urination. In addition, any food that contains potassium could increase urine output. That includes virtually all

fruits, vegetables, meat, and dairy products including Lemons. I have found this to be true when drinking and eating a combination of these fruits.

I have found when detoxing with Lemon water helps eliminate waste from the body through urine and healthy bowel movements. I'm not saying lemon water is better than plain water, just tastes better.


Lemon water is a healthful drink that can add a good amount of vitamin C to the diet. There are, however, plenty of unsupported health claims, but if I am honest the proof is in the drinking. I will leave some suggestions on how to serve and drink Lemon water:

  • Drink it with Mint Leaf

  • Honey

  • Turmeric

  • Ginger

There are so many different things you can do with a Lemon. You can use it to clean products, bake, cook, drink make scented candles etc.
