Military Egg Diet - 3 Days

Updated: Dec 4, 2021

This is HUGE for me, especially when we live in a world where unhealthy snacks are so easily accessible. I thought it would be useful to talk about The military diet. Now you are probably thinking it does not work. Well, you would be wrong, it does work, it is also free. There is no book, expensive food or supplement you need to buy.

You ask again! Does this diet actually work, and is it something you should try? This article explains everything you need to know about the military diet. I wanted to elaborate more about my journey on the diet.

We live in a world full of temptation of delicious foods, cheap fast and easy to prepare. This Military Diet is easy to prepare you need:

  • Eggs

  • Cheese

  • Tuna

  • Crackers

  • Grapefruit

  • Broccoli

  • Apples

  • Tea / Coffee

  • Chicken/ Hot Dogs

  • Peanut Butter

  • Wholemeal Bread

  • Vanilla Ice -cream

Now, it is believed that you can lose up to up to 10 pounds (4.5 kg) in a single week. I lost 7lbs in one week, I have to admit I did have a little cordial in my water as it is really hard to stick to just water. Once you get past the second day you feel much better once you start shifting weight on the scales.

It has been said that parts of the diet was designed by nutritionists in the US military in order to get the soldiers into shape pretty quickly. Apparently, this diet is not affiliated with any military.

How Does it work?

On the Plan, it is for three days where you have to follow the low calorie plan, for breakfast, lunch and Dinner. There is no snacking in between. That is the hard part, and believe me its a killer! The calorie intake is approximately 1100 - 1400 Calories per day. You may have strong will and stick to it, on the other hand you may tweak the plan to soften it. Remember no soft drink other that tea or Coffee not milk or sugar.

For the remaining four days I guess its about eating healthy and sensibly in order not to gain any additional weight, especially after the hard work you put into it. You can use substitutions for those of you who may have certain restrictions. Make sure that your calorie count is the same. Drink loads of water as I found that it an important factor when using this diet, it does help you to lose quickly, as it did wonders for me when I checked my weight the following day on the scales.

I do know that foods that are high in protein help to boost metabolism, which again helped my metabolism. I recommend you follow this diet no more than a week. Give yourself a break and then start it again in small sessions. Avoid trying to keep up with it to lose a large amount of weight in quite succession, it will not work and you will gain weight again. It is not sustainable for long term. That said, it can help yo to focus and to eat healthier foods, it does help to change your mindset, but this diet does require will power and focus.

Can you really lose 10LBS in a week?

I would say in my opinion, it is possible to lose 10lbs in 1 week, but you do need to be really focused and have strong will power, it is not for the faint hearted. You can keep the weight off, but only if you are prepared to change your life style the way you eat and start to exercise or exercise more.

I guess to round things up and to recommend using this Military Diet, I would say try it. You might think it's not for you, I did it and it worked, but I am determined to keep the weight off and to change the way I eat, change my lifestyle and to exercise more. I would suggest going to bed earlier and keeping busy whilst on the diet for three days. It can help you to avoid wanting unnecessary snacks. I did, and it done me the world of good. So far so good. You have choices in life and you can do anything you put your mind to. If this is not for you, there are many diets to suit your situation. Don't give up!

If it works or you need encouragement leave me a message. Let me know how you get on.

Take Care and speak soon my lovelies. x
